The bride's attend- ants wore identical floor length gowns of burnt orange antron "crepe. They carried a bouquet of tuneful daisy mums of bronze and yellow and similar flowers adorned their hair. : : Mr. Gary Venning, Port Perry, brother of the groom acted as best man. The ushers were Mr. Douglas McMillan Seagrave, and Mr. Malcolm McMillan Jr., Port Perry, friends of the bride and groom. Master David Irvine, nephew of the bride, was the ring bearer. Following the ceremony the reception was held at the Port Perry Curling Club. The bride's mother received wearing a blue knit suit with white accessories and a corsage of white mums. The groom's motherassisted wearing a gold bonded crepe dress with brown _ accessories and a corsage of bronze mums. For travelling the bride chose a two piece plum wool suit with white cuffs and collar and a matching poncho hat. Her corsage was a single white orchid. The happy couple journ- eyed to Ottawa, Montreal, and points east, for their honeymoon. = Wedding guests were present from Port Perry, Oshawa, Toronto, Whitby, PORT PERRY Blackstock, and Montreal. ONTARIO COUNTY HEALTH UNIT ONTARIO COUNTY HEALTH UNIT BITUARY NORMAN GIMBLETT A retired Columbus farmer and former Oshawa business- man, Norman Gimblett died recently in Oshawa General Hospital. Mr. Gimblett, who for the past three years has lived at 61 Cassels Rd. E., Brooklin had been in failing health for some time. Born Feb. 5, 1903 in Darlington Township, he was a son of the late Thomas and Ellen Gimblett. He married the former Olive Brock on Feb. 10, .1923 at Brooklin United Church. ) "He farmed in the Columbus area for about 36 years. Also in 1932 he opened Gimblett's Dairy in Oshawa which he sold out 10 years later to Ideal Dairy. He was an adherent of Brooklim United Church, a member of Beethoven Lodge IOOF, Brooklin and a member of the Brooklin Shuffleboard | Club. Besides his wife, he is sur- vived by three daughters, Mrs. Frank Simpson (Margaret), and Mrs. John Medland (Jean) both of Brooklin and Mrs. George Gilroy (Helen) of Oshawa; one son, Raymond; one sister Mrs. Ernest Burrus (Ellen) of Oshawa; two broth- ers, Russell of Maple Grove and Carl of Bowmanville; 16 grandchildren and six great grandchildren. He was pre- deceased by one daughter, Bernice and one grandson, Ross Simpson. service was held last Monday at 2 p.m. Rev. G.A, Mundy of Brooklin United Church officiating. Interment was followed at Oshawa Union Cemetery. Members of Beethoven Lodge held a service at the funeral home Sunday. If desired, remebrance may be made to the Heart Fund. Young Liberals Hear Speaker The Young Liberal meet- ing held on Sunday evening was thoroughly enjoyed "by all present.
