WHEREAS the Reeves and Council of the Village of Port Perry deem it in the public interest, and to provide additional park facilities, to close up certain streets, and part of street lying between Water Street and Lake Scugog as shown on Cameron's Plan Division of the County of Ontario, and more particularly described herein; AND WHEREAS no person is being deprived of.the means of ingress and egress to and from his or her land or place of residence; AND WHEREAS the parts of highways to be stopped up and closed have not been opened for vehicle traffic, excepting those parts of Mary Street and Queen Street herein defind; AND WHEREAS Notice of this By-law has been published once a week for four con- secutive weeks, namely August 1, 15, 22, 29, 1968, in the Port Perry Star, a weekly newspaper published and circulated in the Village of Port Perry; AND WHEREAS -the Corporation of the Village of Port Perry, in accordance with the provisions of the Municipal Act has duly caused Notice of its intention to pass this by-law to be posted up for at least one month in six of the most public places in the immediate neighbourhood of the parts of highways in question; AND WHEREAS the Lieutenant Governor in Council for the Province of Ontario has approved the within by-law; ~ AND WHEREAS the Governor-General in Council for the Dominion of Canada has of Queen Street hereinafter defined; THEREFORE the Corporation of the Village of Port ery: enacts 'as follows: The following parts of highways, streets and road allowances as.shown on Cameron's Plan of part of the Village of Port Perry registered in the Registry Office for the Registry Division of the County of Ontario are hereby closed and stopped up:-- FIRSTLY--AII of Shanley Street lying to the east of the easterly limit of Water Street to Lake Scugog; SECONDLY--AIl of Casimir Street lying 1 to the east of the easterly limit of Water Street to Lake Scugog; THIRDLY--AIl of Mary Street lying east of the easterly limit of Water Street to Lake Scugog; FOURTHLY~That part of Queen Street lying to the. cast of the easterly limit of the abandoned railway right-of-way, formerly owned by Canadian National Railway Com: pany, which right-of-way conveyed to the Corporation of the Village of Port Perry by deed registered as No. 7666 in the Registry Office of the Registry Division of the County of Ontario on the 7th day of July, 1946 and running easterly to Lake Scugog between water lot "E" on the south side of Queen Street as shown on the said plan and water lot "A" and part of lot No. 122 as shown on the said plan; THIS by-law shall take effect upon the date of the {final passing thereof.
