B. Dymond. Mrs. Dymond welcomed the 17 ladies present and special welcome to Mrs. Jones, Prince Albert and to the new representatives at- tending the meeting. for the first time: 9 It was moved and second ed the Auxiliary gives $1000.00 on the 'pledge to the | Hospital Board. Manns reported that 8 pair of bootees have been given out in 1968 and there are 27 pair on hand. The date for the annual Spring Fair is Sat. May 25. Mrs. J. Davidson will be the convenor and the following ladies offered to help; Mrs. Bill Heayn, Mrs. Jones, Mrs. L. Beadle, Mrs. Gordon Mac- Donald, Mrs. G. Goode and Mrs. A. McDermott. Each of- fered to convene the same booth as last year. Next meeting please bring 'a gift for the wishing well for either a boy or girl with .a value of 15c¢. or. 25c. . Donations of sewing, knit- ting, crocheting, ete. will be accepted for any of the vari- ous booths. More details next month. Mrs. Dymond explained 'about Auxiliary membership in place of the representa- tives from each organization. It was agreed to find out from each organization how many 'women would be in- terested in joining the Hos- pital Auxiliary at a suggest- ed-membership - fee of $1.00 Auxiliary per year, also to find out how many women would plan to attend the monthly meetings. } Lunch was provided by Mrs. G. MacDonald and Mrs. Tom Bell. SENIOR CITIZENS ACTIVITIES On February 14th over fifty senior citizens enjoyed a delicious Pot Luck Supper in the Hall. After this enjoyable - re- past a short meeting was held. Mrs. Cullen, president conducted this meeting. Not too much business was dis- cussed this being a sociable evening. - Different groups were discussed for Euchre's and etc. Afterwards Mr. Buckland | set up his screen to show some pictures, but unfortun- ately something went wrong and we were all dissapointed but better luck next time Mr. Buckland. A 'ousing sing song was enjoyed(Ethel Redman at the piano). Fol- owing this was cards. Next meeting will be at 2 p.m, at the Hall on.Febru- ary 28th(Wed.) and the next Euchre Sat, March 2nd at 8.30 p.m. Last Euchre Feb. 17th was not as well attended as usual as weather wasn't too good. 8 tables were played at and lucky prize winners as fol- lows: Ladies 1st -- Mrs. E. McLaughlin of the Frank Cowan Insur- -ance. Co. and Herb Toombs of Toombs Insurance were present, and completed - a review of Cartwright Town- ship Insurance ~---coverage.
