He also stated that the qual- ity of farm separated cream was the responsibility of the Ontario Department of Agri- culture and Food, while the price of butterfat to the cream producer was the res ponsibility of the Federal Government. A studded tire is defined by regulation as a tire which has imbedded into the tread hard material devices % of an inch in diameter or less and projecting no more than 1/16 of an inch beyond the tread of the tire. No tires having hard material devices imbedded into the tread can now be sold or used on a highway unless they conform to this definition. If studded tires are used] on the rear wheels only, or on all four wheels, braking action is improved. If they are used on the front wheels only, the vehicle will invari- ably '"'skid out" when brak- es are applied.
