About twelve couples from this area attended the annual JLnjoyable program - dance sponsored by "Milk Produc- er's Association", in Uxbridge . Friday night. Also a humourous skit by Mrs. S. (Glass and Miss J. Snelgrove. We cannot fail to compli: ment Mrs. Harry Kiezibrink who rendered a couple of de: lightful vocal numbers. The bride and groom each in turn truly voiced their ap- preciation for the multitude of essential and useful gifts, plus the beautiful card-table set, magazine holder and pole lamp would all occupy a trea- sured place in their place of abode. They also expressed thank-you to those in charge, Mrs. Hunter, Mrs. Wilson & Mrs. Willis. The young couple also stressed a wel- come in words, "Do come and see us", residing on Union Ave., Port Perry. Don and Marilyn and each of their parents feel a great deal of good will and endeav- ours had been exercised in organizing the evening, also those who capably acted on the program deserve much credit. In fact you all being with us helped make the plearant evening. Dainty & liberal lunch ended the party. The G. N. S. Club met at the home of Mrs. Olive Brown for the fall term. Beacock. Treasurer Mrs. Heayn reported on finances. All agreed the annual din- ner held at Spruce Villa was a decided success. Plans are being discussed as to a Valentine Dance possibly some part of Feb- ruary. A substantial sum was voted to the committee rep- resenting 'Recreation Centre' for various purposes. Few business items discussed and then all enjoyed lunch. Mrs. M. Holtby of Man- chester has been staying at the president | the H. Holtby home during the week Mrs. Harold Holtby has been visiting her daugh- ter Mr. and Mrs. D. Tietze of Munroe, N.Y. Harold and Neil joined them for the long week-end and all attended Expo upon their return home. Mr. and Mrs. G. Hunter and Mr. and Mrs. C. Willes have returned from the weekend spent in Corwall and Stirling areas. "Mr. and Mrs. L.Beacock accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Devitt, Oshawa, were at Expo few days last week. Mr. and Mrs. Ken Devitt and their older children en- joyed the week-end in Roch- ester. Mr. and Mrs. J. Doupe and Mr and Mrs C Newnham are home from a month motor- ing in the western provinces.
