Kyte led the discussion from the study book "Into a Nation." The Esther unit met at the home of Mrs. Ernie Swain. Mrs. H. Martyn and Mrs. Bruce Mountjoy had charge of Devotional and Program. The worship was on Stewardship and during the program, slides were shown of Expo and discuss- ion on same. Plans were made to cater to a wedding in October. Lunch and social hotir was THE A.C.W. The A.C.W. meeting was held in the Parish Hall on Thursday evening, Sept. 21 "with Mrs. T. Graham, vice- president in the chair. The opening hymn was "The Love of Christ Con- strainth". Mrs. McArthur led in the devotions and for for meditation used the text, "Henceforth I call you not servants, but I have cal- led vou friends". John 15-15 The minutes, treasurers report and reports of the secretaries of various de- partments were given. All were gratifving. Sunshine and ~ preschool birthday cards have been sent. Mrs. Ashmore has made a beautiful linen Commun- ion Cloth for our Commun- ion table which was display- ed at the meeting and most gratefully accepted. Mrs. Blight (formerly Mrs. G. Forder) sent a box of "lovely knitted articles and fancy work for our next bazaar. This, too, was most -| gratefully accepted. All were pleased to learn that our Hon. Pres. Mrs. J. Forder is home from hospit- al. Announcements were made that the United Thanksgiving Boxes are due in October and that October 27 is the date for our Chicken Pie Supper. L. McArthur was appoint- ed delegate to the Augurat- ion of the A.C.W. in Toron- to on October 2nd. After the business meet- ing, Mrs. Donneral favoured with two readings "A Deck of Cards" and "a Ludricious Explanation", Mrs. VanCamp read some jokes and a read- ing "The Little Lamb", Mrs. T. Graham gave an interest- ing short talk on a church in Heysham, England which is 1000 years old and which she visited this past summ- er, Mrs. C. Smith and Mrs. J. Hamilton served lunch and a social half hour was spent before the evening ended. PERSONALS Misses Sharon Nancy Dorrell, Elizabeth Thompson, Helen Swain, Judy Cochrane, Judi Swain and Me-srs. Mr. and Mrs. Ken Duns- more visited Mr. and Mrs. H.
