Given in marriage by Mr. Thelander, a friend from Tor- fonto, Ontario, the bride was very lovely in a full length gown. which she fashioned herself, of heavy white satin featuring a fine French lace brodice accented with a la- vish lace train. She wore a -gnatching- head piece; -high- lighted with a scalloped illu- sion veil worn softly around the face. Her bouquet con- sisted of red and white car- nations, centered with a sprig of Scotch heather. ¢ Miss Lois Cawker, sister of the groom, was the bride's only attendant, and was gowned in a most attractive floor length creation of green catin, - with matching sheer coat and headdress. She ~ garried white and green-car- nations. Mr. George Smith of Pros- pect acted as best man, and the ushers were Mr. Thos. Watkins of Toronto, and Mr. John Croxall of Manchester. 'The groom & his attendants wore identical white dinner during the' the guests. Mrs. Thelander chose a charming shocking pink ensemble with matching flowered hat, and accessories. Her corsage was white mums. The mother of the groom re- ceived in a blue and silver silk dress, with matching blue lace coat, complimented with a blue petal hat and her corsage was pink and white carnations. Mr. Thelander of Toronto was the M.C. for the wed- ding dinner. Later on danc- ing was enjoyed and Mr. Thos. Watkins acted as M.C. The guests. were invited back to Mr. and Mrs. Caw- ker's at Manchester, for the evening--to view the gifts, and a buffet supper was ser- ved by the hostess. . For a trip to Saginaw and Bridgeport, Michigan, U.S.A. the bride chose a two piece suit of blue and pink wool, accented with matching pic- ture hat, black shoes, gloves and bag, and wore an or- chid.
