Devotion was given by Mrs. Dorothy Pascoe, follow- led by Hymn 280. Minutés| were read and approved. 11 members answered the Roll Call. Calls made were: 18 Hos- pital, 40 Home. Greta St. John reported for the Bazaar. All to bring Touch and Take and Wishing Well parcels to the Oct. Meeting. A bill for cookies for Vacation School in the Church was paid. A request for food and do- nations from Nettie McDon- ald, social convenor, for the Turkey Dinner was taken care of. Chapter 14 of the Study Book taken by Norma Jeffrey, after which Grace Cherrie conducted an inter- esting contest and we found we really didn't know all the Commercials on T.V. after all. Anyone who has ever had to walk downtown, knows the difficulty one has, especially with children, when trying to cross the street. As it was, one never new for sure where the cars were suppos- (The drivers also were not sure just where to stop.) This situation has now been cor- rected. With the lines now painted where they should be it is hoped that Council will see fit to repaint these lines at Once again through the ef- forts of the Chamber of Com- merce a much needed pro- ject, that really was the re- sponsibility of Council, has been completed. Orde read the correspondence, several letters from Dai Man were received and also one from the Unitarian Services. On a motion by Com. Bal- lingall, seconded by Com. M. Jackson it was carried that we raise the catering prices. It was also decided that in future we shall strictly en- force the by-law that we will not cater to less than 60.
