He said, 10 - PORT PERRY STAR -- Thursday, July 13th, 1967 EPSOM By Jean Jeffery I saw this little poem in an old Telegram and will quote part of it as I'm sure many cottagers will enjoy it. The summer cottager remark- ed "The lake is calm & still The woods are cool, & bobo- links are singing on the hill "he field & stream are call- ing me, I love the great outdoors, it first I have to fix the stove and paint the cottage floors." xt week the same old - 'happie cried, "The veather is sublime, my small boat I'll glide away, and quietly dream a spell That is as soon as I've dug a few more yards of well." It was later in the summer when our cottager sailed forth, I'or just another week-end in his cabin in the north. t "The bass are bit- ing, 'and I'll bring you back the proof The moment I am finished with the shingles on | the roof". The month is October and snow begins to fall; . Our friend is still endeavour- ing to answer nature's call, But having toiled all summer on his cottage, docks and gear, He had to nail it up again and leave it for next year. ; * * * 'I guess I had better start with the bad news this week. Ross Bailey was involved -pital. NEWS in an accident near Moose Jaw. The stearing mechan- ism broke. the tractor -and trailer out of control rolled.
