SN 16 - PORT PERRY STAR -- Thursday, June 15th, 1967 Over one hundred friends and relatives gathered in the Centennial Centre on Thurs: day, June 8th at 8.30 p.m. to present Miss Diane Fisher and Mr. Ross Batten with a miscellaneous shower prior to their marriage in St. John's Presbyterian Church, Port Perry on Sat., June 17. Mr. Hugh Knight acted as M.C. for the programme which included musical num- bers by:--Messrs. H. Ashton, Roy Gaudaur and Edgar Her: on; vocal duet by Roy Gau- daur and David Bradley. Diane and Ross thanked everyone for the gifts which they received and everyone joined in the singing of "For they are Jolly Good Fellows", Sandwiches, cookies, coffee and freshie were served and a social half hour enjoyed. Several from here attended the Decoration Service in Groveside Cemetery on Sun- day, June 11th. The June meeting of the W.M.S. was held at the home of Mrs. C. Harrison, Myrtle, on Wed. June 7th at 8.15 p.m. with the president Mrs. F. Daw presiding, The Summer Rally will be held at the Old Stone Church Beaverton on Wed., June 21, with afternoon session at 2 p.m. Several of our ladies plan to attend. It was decided not to have any meetings in July or August. Mrs. R. C. Hyatt had charge of the study. Mr. G.
