Mrs. Harris is spending this week with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Baker at Thornhill. Recent visitors with Mr. and Mrs. Robert Baird were Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Chambers of Can- nington, and Mr. and Mrs. Clark Williams of Nestleton, also Mr. Ford Thompson of_Ottawa. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Diamond _ visited on Sunday with Mr. & Mrs. moved into their new home in Stouffville. Mrs. Wallace is slowly improving after her ac- cident a year ago. Mr. and Mrs. George Beaton Wm. Wallace, who have] were visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Ed Prentice in Oshawa Satur- day evening. Mrs. Cecil Simmons, Valerie and Kevin guests of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Phoenix on Friday. A very successful card party was held in the hall Friday ev- ening. 16 tables were played. High lady's prize went to Jean Pogue; high gent's to Jas. Lee. Low lady to Kathy Cookman, low gent to Doug Pogue. Thursday Mr. and Mrs. Roy Leask, and John, were hosts to the Ont. County Holstein Club, when about 75 men visit- ed their farm. Starting out at Mr. Harold Honey's in the morn- ing they visited the Leask farm then on to the farm of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Jibb at Blackwater in the afternoon. Laurie and Lisa Steven of Scarboro, spent a few days with their grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Paul . Diamond, also Elizabeth Bateman visited at the Diamond farm-for-a-couple of "days last week. Rev. and Mrs. Cooper of Ux- bridge, calling on their old neighbours in Greenbank re- cently. Mrs. Angi¥Stainton of Port Perry spent Saturday with Mr. and Mrs. George Beaton. Dr, Jean Whittier, a medical missionary, who has spent 32 years in India spent a few days recently with Mr. and Mrs. Harris. Skinner scored all 3 McCoy goals. Irwine and Cartwright tied 2 all in their first Final's game. Prosser got both , Cartwright goals, while Shill aid VanCamp scored for Irwine. : Bantam-- I Heayn knocked put McCart- ney in Wednesday lf play by defeating MeCuriney 10 to 5. - McKee and Car virile tied 4 all in an extremely exciting game. McKeen got 2, Dean and Phoenix got 1 each for McKee Matherson with 3 and Cooke were Cartwright's scorers. Cochrane put out Ashbridge by defeating them 3 to 1. Taylor scored all of Cochrane's goals. Heard scored for Ashbridge. "ALL STARS At Brampton Port Perry No- vice lost to Caledonia 4-3 and 2-1. The Caledonia team: went on to defeat Belmont for the D Championship. Our boys gave their best but the 6 games in one week took a lot out of them and to be defeated by Caledonia who later became the champs was no disgrace. Port Perry Pee Wee All Stars won: 11-3 against Glencoe and 4-3 over Lucknow at Goderich. Then had a day of rest. Friday and Saturday in the semi-final were defeated by Thornhill 5-1. By all reports the boys had a great trip. Port Perry Flyers lost their game to Oshawa TV Sunday by a score of 2-1.
