Mul vey returned with the Jewells after spending a few months in the warm temperatures. Mr. and Mrs. L. Beacock spent an enjoyable time with others at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Robertson of Shirley Road, Friday evening. : Mr. & Mrs. W. Roy Hope and family visited on Good Friday with their son Mr. and Mrs. Ron Hope and baby, Newcastle. And Easter Sunday with their daugh- ter Mr. and Mrs. Reg. Sturmans, Raglan. Mr. and Mrs. W. Webb, Hali- burton spent a few days with their relatives owing to the sale of her parents' household ef- fects on Saturday. RUSSEL LANSING Following a lengthy illness, the death of Violet Hooey Lan- sing occurred in Peterborough Civic Hospital, Sunday, March 26, 1967. She was in her 82nd year, A daughter of the late George Hooey and Josephine Graham, she was born and raised in Cartwright Township. : After her marriage to Russel | Lansing in 1906 they lived at 64 Durant, Ave. Toronto until after his death in 1964. The last year & a half she has been with her brother Bertram and family in Peterborough. Mrs. Lansing was a member of Kimbourne Park United Church, Toronto and a Life member of the Women's Mis- sionary Society. Predeceased besides her hus- band were one sister Lila (Mrs. Garnet Sanderson), two brothers Leslie and Herman. ts "Surviving are two sisters, Phemia Hooey of Toronto and Lottie - (Mrs. Charles Smith) Blackstock, one brother Bert- ram L. Fo pone LASS x LF (is Tv vl » Seed Fair And Hay Show Succesful Event The annual Ontario County Seed Fair and Hay Show Ww: held in the Town Tall, Beaver- ton, on Tuesday, March 28th, with an excellent number of entries, and exhibitors. 40 ex- hibitors showed a total of 80 | entries. : Mr. Ken Fallis, Soils & Crops' Branch, Ontario Department of Agriculture and food, and Mr. Ken McMorine, Plant Products Division, Canada Department of Agriculture, Toronto, were the official judges on the grain & small seeds classes. Mr. Eu- gene Lemon, Stouffville, was the official judge of the hay & silage classes. The championship awards on the various classes are as fol- lows: 1.
