For the Easter season the children were given candy bas- kets and favors for their trays, a potted .plant for each adult patient and Easter plant for the office. We had several money mak- ing projects and feel greatly encouraged by the support we received from organizations and friends. The diminshing tea propect was completed early in the year. Our big event was the Spring Fair on May. This was a new project. Every or- ganization in the surrounding communities paxgticipated and without this interest and sup- port this success could not have been attained. This event took considerable planning and on behalf -of this auxiliary please accept our thanks to friends for donations, contributions and organizations for their loyal support. Our summer project was a draw made at Port Perry Fair. A substantial sum was realized from sale of tickets and the prizes consisting of a quilt, blanket, pillow cases and tow- els were donated by friends and again we say thank you to all who helped in any way. Olir annual doll draw will a- As in previous yrs. we offer, 10 dolls or stuffed animals each with $5.00 as prizes. ) A big event being planned for next year is a Centennial Ball to be held in October of 1967. Land has been purchased, plans sanctioned for the building and a Building Campaign set up. Now the financial campaign is at work. Our auxiliary set as their goal to the Port Perry Community Memorial Hospital Building Campaign sum of $20,000.00. In September our organiza- tion set up a Building Fund and were able to turn over to that fund $3000.00 from our general fund - Recently we are happy to report receiving several large donations to-this fund. Now as this year closes, we feel most grateful for the sup- port 'we have received from friends and organizations. We are about to start a new year, many projects are planned and a new hospital foremost in everyone's mind. The demands| are going to be many. May we never loose interest. May we feel the need and necessity of a hospital in our community that the unfortunate ill may receive the care and comforts to make life easier to bear. 1.O.D.E. Bulldozers FRIDAY NIGHT Port Perry 12, Keswick 3 The start of a hard week-end, | saw the Buldozers change their latest style Friday night in Keswick. - From the start of the first period the Buldozers were all over the ice not giving Keswick a chance to get organized. A great team effort by Port who were missing two of their re- gular defence, dropping back to help out, were Andy Mathews and Yyn Middleton, both work- ing like they played there all season. - This was a game that re- minded us of the play-offs last season, with Port not letting up at all. The kind of game we like to see the boys play, with no coasting. : Scoring for Port First Period-- McKee from D. McNenly, g J. Burnett W. Venning, unassisted A. Mathews from B. Parry, B. Doner. J. Uxbridge 0 The boys were out for reven- ge in Uxbridge Monday night and got it with a clear cut win, in what must be described as the best game the Bulldozers have played all season. With good hard checking, digging in the corners & clean crisp passing, Port upset the Black Hawks throughout the game. I must point out, the great goal tending by Jim Top-| ping with first class reflexess robbed Uxbridge countless tim- es and for his effort earned his first shutout of the season. Well done boys, another fine team effort that paid off. "Scoring for Port First Period-- L. Middleton, unassisted 2nd Period-- G. Geer from R. Bryant R. Bryant for D. Conlin, M. Cobourg mis- sed the open net 3 or 4 times, and Port were firing from every angle. But that extra digging put the puck in the net.
