The president, Barbara Evans was in charge of the meeting, A welcome recitation was well recited by Marilyn Stephens, All joined in singing the Eix- plorer Hymn, "This is My Fa- thers World". The Explorers then repeated the Purpose and Prayer. The Scripture lesson was read by Janis Neil, Psalms 111, followed by a prayer by Gayle Hadley. A two-part song Cum-by- ak was well rendered.by the group, -- Marianne Smits played a de lightful - piano solo. Explorer graduation certificates were presented to Elizabeth Diamond, Betty Jayne MacMaster, Mar- lene Podres, Marianne Smits, Barbara Evans, and Janis Neil, by Mrs. McPhaden A lovely gift ° of appreciation was presented to Mrs. MacMaster by Marianne Smits thanking her for her un- tiring work and leadership throughout -the year, : After the hymn "Birds are Singing" a colourful film strip entitled 'Little Mountain Sister' was shown. The leader Mrs. Helen MacMaster read the script telling about the life of a twelve year girl Yu-Yan of Formosa, at school, at church and also at home. A choral reading entitled 'All Around the World' was beauti- fully given by the group. A humorous skit, called "Au Re- voir--Carbolic Acid" was well given by Dennise Stein and Chrisie Vokins. Next Sharilyn Reader sang a jolly solo "A Capital Ship", accompanied by Mrs. Hunter at the piano. A splendid piano solo was given by Marlene Podres. A quick game of Charades was played by two teams. Sing- ing of "Onward Christian Sol-_ _J| diers" was followed with a sing- song. Collection received was $5.00. Betty Jayne MacMaster then gave some brain-teaser riddles.
