Jerrold Arthur Asling, son of Mr. and Mrs. Denald E, Asling, R.R. 1, Port Perry, graduated from the Faculty of Dentisty, University of Toronto, on Fri- day, May 27th, He is at present on the staff of St. John's Training School, - Uxbridge but will be opening his practice in late summer in Hanover, Ont,, as soon as work is completed. William Paynter, C.D., Commanding Of- ficer of the Ontario Regiment as the inspecting officer. Col. (Continued on Page 13) Hi-C Group's Special Service A Well Attended Success - Port Perry United Church was filled almost -to capacity Sunday evening for the Folk Worship Service, arranged and presented by the local Hi-C group. E The service was prepared and conducted by Mr. Robert XK. Munro, B.A,, 'B.D., a graduate -of Emmanuel College, Toronto. On June 1st Mr. Munro was or- dained as a minister of the United Church of Canada by Hamilton Conference in First United Church, Waterloo. Mr. Munro was assisted by Brian Knight, Lynne Beare, Grant Williams-and Karen Rice read- ing the responses and Secrip- leading the singing.to the music of his guitar. The Rev, Alec Rice chose for his address one of Christ's best 'known Parables, the story of the Prodigal Son and gave all on the new Medical Centre there much to think about. At the close of the service Miss Shirley Dowson, on behalf of Port Perry Hi-C welcomed all visitors and called the roll of out of town guests. They were from St, Stephens and Westmount in Oshawa, Whitby, Pickering, Columbus, Kedron, Peterborough, Blackstock, Maple | Grove, Bridgenorth, Janetville, Yelverton, Courtice, Bowman- ville, Audley and Brampton, as well as from the Anglican and Presbyterian churches in Port Perry.
