Softball Assoc. is now making plans for the new season which will start this week, To date 230 boys and girls have registered and this is com- prised of 141 families. The biggest series to date would appear to be the Tyke Series Scout Mothers Auxiliary The . April" 18th meeting of the Scout Mothers' Auxiliary was held in the Scout Hall with twelve ladies present. Much appreciation was ex-. pressed to Mr, Wes, Lane for his kind donation of the sink strainer and stopper. Mrs, James Carnochan volunteered to be ovr new Sew- ing Convener, As 'we felt the load was too heavy for the telephone com- mittee, Mrs. Al, Chaney kindly offered her services for the coming year. ~ -A review was enjoyed by all the Mothers of their thoughts on the Boys' Good Friday hike, It was unanimously agreed that the hike was "fun but wet." After repeating the Scout . Mizpah, the Mothers enjoyed a delicious Pot Luck luncheon. The next meeting will be held at the home of Mrs, Lloyd Short, 206 Shanley Street, on May 16th at 8 p.m., with Mrs, Lloyd Short, Mrs, Gordon Har- ris, Mrs. Wes. Lane and Mrs, Ray Birkett as hostesses. The new officers elect will be in- stalled at this meeting.
