Joint Services To Be Held By Local Churches The Port Perry Churches are planning a programme of co- operation and mutual assistance 'in providing Sunday evening Ghurch services in Port Perry. Participating will be Port Perry United Church, St, John's Pres- byterian Church and the Angli- can Church of the Ascension. Details of time and place will be found in special Church ad- vertisement in each issue of the Port Perry Star. The gen- eral arrgngement will be that each Church will host a Sunday evening service in turn, and the members of the other congrega- tions will be invited to partici- pate. The service of any given evening will be in the tradition of the host Church. The min- isters of the co-operating Chur- ches feel that such a programme will meet two needs. First there are those members who for var- ious reasons find an evening service more convenient than a morning service. Second such a service will offer an oppor- tunity on occasion to present a variety of discussion and study not possible at the larger and more formal morning services. The programme will be in- augurated this Sunay, Feb. 27 at 7.30 p.m. in the Church of the Ascension. A special pro- gramme of Lenten Music will be presented by the Gallery Choiref Peterborough under the direction of Mrs. William (Jean) Peircey. : Seed Judging Sat., Feb. 25th The annual Ontario County Seed Judging.
