Reeve Everett Quantrill of Whitby was re-elected as chair- man of the Board of Manage- ment of Fairview Lodge while F. Hockley, reeve of Township of Uxbridge, was named chair- i Road Development Study Approved Ontario County Council last week approved road develop- ment in the county totalling a distance of 9.9 miles. The road construction will be located in three municipalities, Brock Township county road construction will acount for 4.6 miles of the program. The construction will take place on part of County Road 12 from Highway 12 westerly to County Road 10A. The work is deserib- ed as development Road 848, The Township of Reach is in- cluded in the road development program with 2.4 miles of road. This phase of the program ef- fects the proposed county road between Concessions 4 and 5 from Highway 12 easterly to County Road No. 2. The pro- gram is desribed -as develop- ment road No. 849. Development road program No. 850, includes road construec- tion involving part of County Road No. 11A from the south- erly limits of the hamlet of Zephyr northerly to the bound- ary between the Counties of. Ontario and York. This part of the overall program covers 2.9 miles, The council in passing the three by-laws, authorized the engineering firm of Totten, Sims and Associates, of Whitby to carry out ndcessary profes- sional engineering services. Lade who gave a very interesting talk on Education at elementary school level. _ Meeting was adjourned.
