At the church service of Dec. 26, the Sacrament of Baptism was administered to Robert Ti- mothy, small son of Mr. & Mrs. Herb. Payne and Angela Marie, daughter of Mr, and Mrs. Joe Stone. On Jan. 2, the Sacra- ment of the Lord's Supper was observed. After service the youngsters received membership cards for the Young Worship- pers' League, Mrs, Chas, Short and Mrs, Ken Short sang a Christmas duet at S. S. on Dec. 26 but there were few on hand to hear it. On Jan. 2 attendance had returned to a normal 78. First '66 contribution for the birthday box came from little Brian Barr age 3. Protected how? With benefits up to $86.54 a week if an employee is disabled for more than two calendar days by an on-the-job accident or related disease happening on or after January 1st. What about permanent disa- bility? He's covered. Bentfits in- clude all medical expenses and pen- sions for permanent disability. Howabout the worker's family ? In death cases there are allowances for funeral expenses and pensions for widows and children. Is this the same Workmen's Compensation that 2,000,000 men and women in other lines of work have protecting them? Exactly the same. What about the. Farmer? He and his wife also can be covered by Workmen's Compensation, by making a special application to the Workmen's Compensation Board. And his Family ? If they work on the same farm and get a stated wage, they are automatically covered, as is the Farm Employee. Is there a charge to the Farm Employee for this ? No. Farm em- ployers provide this protection through assessments based on their 1966 payroll, payable in August.
