For Mr. and Mrs. J. Mac- Taggart we report some plea- sure and some sadness Mrs. Pearl Thompson, sister of Mrs. MacTaggart has arrived from the west for a Christmas visit. The sad event was the death of Jack's brother Mr. Andy Mac- Taggart in Lindsay hospital. His funeral was on Monday. Miss Nancy Wanamaker spent the week-end with her pal Miss Janice Stone, Greenbank. Grandchildren Wayne and Lynda Wanamaker of Oshawa are staying with Mr. and Mrs. B. Wanamaker. Mr. and Mrs. Belair were din- ner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Ross Real, Greenbank on Friday. The Epsom correspondent for the Star seems to think the Reach Township voters list is a mess. We are in complete agreement. Only 29 of the bravest (or was it the most fool-hardy?) attended service on Sunday morning but by 11 o'clock our people had become more ven- turesome so there were 71 in attendance at Sunday School. The primary class, grouped around a nativity scene, sang "Away in a Manger" as their contribution. Mrs. Nicholls, Mrs. Keen and Mrs. Clements helped swell the M. & M. fund with birthday offerings. All members missing from church this week please note-- The services next week will be special Christmas worship at 10 o'clock to which the S.S. is in- vited, and an evening service at 7.60 p.m. at which the Christ- mas pageant will be repeated. There will be no S.S. session. According to the local cor- respondence Friday is Christ- mas Tree night for the district churches. Seagrave is one of these so be on hand at 8.15 p.m. We have been quite good here this year so Santa will, be sure to come We aren't sire whe- ther he will make it to Green- bank and Epsom or not. Santa will be making a sec- ond appearance here on Satur- day. He will come whizzing down to the Wanamaker store at 4 o'clock to hand out his treats to the children. He ex- pects to see you there.
