Mrs. June Crozier and Mrs. Grace Love were both suec- cessful and gained second and third place in the elections. Leading the poll with a slim one-vote margin was Mr. Ray- mond Fralick, who resigned re- cently from his post on the Board to run as a candidate in the current election in Scugog. This will mean an entirely new Council, with the exception of Mr. Joseph Dowson, who has served the Township in former years. Butt Scores 913 Record High Triple Doug Butt, a member of the Thursday night men's league showed some excellent bowling last week. One of the more con- sistent bowlers in the league he came up with an all-time high triple at Causeway Lanes of 913. It's going to take real effort and skilful bowling to beat this record, but no doubt a lot of the competitors will be try- ing to wrest it from Doug. The previous record stood at 889, of being the} School on Thursday, November 26th. The subject of Mr. Cornish's address was "The Relative Achievement of Pupils in ckools of Varying Sizes. Twenty-five Principals of the district schools were in attend- ance. In 1964, Mr. Cornish as- sisted in a province-wide survey on the above-named subject, and has made a detailed study of same. The address was highly interesting and informative. Mr. Cornish's extensive experience as Principal of Public Schools contributed greatly to the sue- cess of the meeting. Mr. Cornish is a past-presi- dent of the Principals' Associa- tion having been President for three successive years. He is no longer a member as the Reach Township, Scugog Township & Port Perry Public School teach- ers have been transferred to In- spectorate #2 Ontario County.
