Senior Citizens Club Thirty-nine members attend- ed the regular meeting Wednes- day, November 24th at the Hall. These meetings are very inter- esting. The capable president, Mrs. Chapman opened as usual, extending a warm welcome to all. Don't stay home if you have visitors, bring them along. Lord's prayer was repeated in unison. The Christmas dinner will be held at the Masonic Lodge this year, then after- wards all go to the club for a sociable time. We are hoping to see most of our 80 odd mem- bers there. A lot of business was discussed. A draw was made for Quilt and Wool Rug. The Club thank everyone for buying tickets, results were very gratifying. Mrs. Wilson, Greenbank, sold fifteen books, and many others worked hard. Following are the lucky Win- ners: Mrs, McDiarmid of Osha- wa won the Rug, the quilt went to Mrs. D. Banks, Don Mills, the Cosmetics, donated by Mrs. Honey went to Miss M. Me- Laren. Everyone joined in sing- ing "The Queen" and a happy time spent, with lunch being served by group in charge. Next meeting of the Club will be cancelled as many are going by bus to Toronto. Next meet- ing, Wed., Dec. 22nd at 2 p.m. Euchre at Hall on Saturday, December 11th at 8.830 p.m. Everyone welcome. These euchres are still drawing a good crowd. Twenty tables played on Sat, Nov. 27th. So many enjoy these card parties and new faces keep adding to these get togethers, bring your friends, we like to see you all join us.
