The in-coming officers pre- gented the newly-appointed wor- thy matron with a gift set of crystal along with a red sweet- % | heart rose corsage and she re- - ceived many other gifts to com- memorate the occasion among which was an ivory colored en- graved gavel presented to her by the newly appointed worthy patron, Hugh Espie. The worthy matron extended laurels to the installing officers for the perfect performance at her installation. Her first pleas- ant task was inviting the retir- ing officers, Bernice and Nor- man Mairs to the East where they were presented with their past officers' "jewells and hus- band and wife were given the honor of pinning on each: other's jewell. © During the business session reports were received from the various convenors and the an- 'nual statements from Margaret Carnegie, secretary, and Alma Reesor, treasurer were present- d. At the close of the meeting members and friends renewed old friendships and a delicious luncheon was served by the re- freshment committee which was convened by Esther Chapman.
