Older folks enjoy winter when fields are green Then kiddies couldn't play with their sleds and be seen, Their laughter cheer us in our golden days, And remind us of the time when we used to play, Of the days when we also took part in the fun And played in the snow and kept on the run. wo always take a Due GORD LEWIS MOTOR SALES 92 Water St. On The Car Precision Wheel Ty 1 ALSO: Balancing Done A Plecition HUNTER EQUIPMENT! Manns Eight meetings have been held thus far this year. We en- joyed a dessert luncheon at the home of Mrs. Dymond in Sep- tember. We deeply appreciate the time and effort spent by the ladies who regularly visit the hospital to keep the linen in good repair. Last Christmas, the auxiliary provided chocolates for the pa- tients, three shifts of nurses, kitchen help, office staff and laundry help. In place of a de- in former years, we provided outdoor lighting which added a touch of seasonal beauty to our hospital. For the Easter season, the children were given candy bas- kets and favors for their trays, a potted hyacinth for each pa- tient and potted hydrangea's for the office. For National Hospital Day in May our auxiliary held after- noon tea and home baking sale at municipal building. It is in- deed encouraging the support we receive from public on this annual occasion. Our auxiliary gives each baby born at the hospital a pair of bootees. This year to date 71 pairs have been given out and a set of twins received sweaters and bonnets. We will be pleas- ed to give wool and pattern to anyone wishing to help with this project. Also would like to say thank you to those who do knit for us, especially to our friends in Toronto and Oshawa. Dymond Starts 14th Year As President Of Women's Hospital Auxiliary Early in the year we choose as our objective, Portable X- Ray Equipment for hospital. We wish to thank those organi- zations who Have already sent donations. In view of a pos- sibility of a new hospital, it was decided to withhold purchase of that machine until such time the new building is established. Our big project in the plan- ning for next year is a Spring Fair. The date and place has not yet been decided on, but we pledge the support of everyone and all organizations to make This the biggest event yet. Now as this year draws to a close we would like to thank eferyone, friends and organiza- tions for their work and dona- tions. We look forward to a new year with a vision of a new hospital before us.
