Hymn 286 was sung followed by the theme on Peace. Mrs. Ward read the Scripture Corin- thians I Verses 1-13. Mrs. Dusty led in Prayer and Mrs. Mero sang a solo. The offer- ing was received and dedicated. Miss Reycraft took the Study Book on Trinidad dealing main- ly with Resources Industry and Culture. Calls on the sick and shut-ins were recorded. A Thank-You Note from Mrs. C. Phoenix, now of Uxbridge was read. The Office of Over All president was discussed. Noting definite was decided on at this time. The meeting closed with O Canada, followed by Mizpah Benediction. Mrs. Fred Warren presented the Honeydale prizes in Home Economics at the High School Commencement in Nov. We'd like to extend congratulations to the Senior prize winner-- Miss Jean Milligan, and the Junior Miss Bridget Alzner. Members decided to send a donation of $10.00 to the Men- tal Health Assoc. for Xmas gifts for Ont. Hospital patients. An exchange of Xmas gifts will be a feature of the Dec. meeting, price not exceeding 50c. The meeting will be in charge of Home Ec. convener Mrs. G. Shunk. A splendid resume of Central Area Convention, was present- ed by the delegate Mrs. Sam Naples. Coloured slides were shown by Mr. John Jefford, taken while the family enjoyed their summer vacation overseas--An interesting commentary was given by Mr, Jefford, and he told many amusing incidents of their travels.
