Given in marriage by her fa- ther, the bride was lovely in a gown of Chantilly lace over slipper satin. The scalloped Sabrina neckline was bordered with seed pearls and sequins adorned the front of the lace bodice which tapered to a slen- der waist. The bouffant skirt had three tiers of scalloped lace near the hemline and her scal- loped, shoulder-length tulle veil was caught to a rhinestone and seed pearl crown. She carried a cascade bouquet of white miniature carnations and red sweetheart roses. Mrs. George Lee, sister of the bride, was matron of honour and the bridesmaids were Mrs. Robert Cantera, Toronto, sister of the groom, and Miss Bonnie Brotherston, Beaverton. They wore short bouffant dresses of pink organza over silk, featur- ing fitted waistbands and re- embroidered silk lace trim at the hemline. Their head dress- es were matching pink tulle held with petal cluster clips and they carried cascade bouquets of miniature pink-tipped carna- tions. 'Mr. David Noble, Uxbridge, was best man for his brother and the ushers were Mr. George Lee and Mr. Ronald Noble. Following the ceremony a re- ception was held in the church parlours where the bride's mo- ther received in a beige lace sheath, contrasting flower hat and corsage of orange Baccarra roses. She was assisted by the groom's mother in two-piece green dress with gold accessor- ies and a corsage of yellow sweetheart roses. The bride and groom sang a duet "The Lord's My Shepherd". Guests including the Rev. Sam Choi, Japan were present from Toronto, Belleville, Osh- awa, Port Perry, Uxbridge,' Markham, Orillia, Streetsville, and other centres. For a honeymoon trip to Al- gonquin Park the bride chose a beige suit with brown accessor- ies and a yellow cymbidium or- chid. They will make their home in Kitimat, B.C., where Rev. Noble will take up his duties as minister. Prior to the wedding the bride was entertained at several -showers=--a miscellaneous show=-- er at the home of her aunt Mrs. Wm. Adamson, a Blué Mountain pottery shower Mrs. Ross Reany, Toronto, by her: "co- workers at Manufacturer's Life; a personal shower at the home of Miss Lorraine Henderson, Blackwater, and a community shower at the Wick Presby- terian Church . Following the rehearsal the bridal party were entertained at the home of the bride's parents. 4-H Dairy and Grain Clubs Achievement Day Held At Fair The Port Perry 4-H Dairy Calf and Grain clubs held their achievement day in conjunction with Port Perry Fair on Mon- day, September 8th. Twenty-five 4-H calf club members brought out their en- tries in excellent condition, re- sulting in a 100% turnout for the Port Perry club. The judge, Mr. Allison Faw- cett of Winchester, Ontario, gave reasons for his top three or four placings in each class. Mr. Fawcett was also the judge of the Black and White Show at the fair. The Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce Special, awarded to the boy or girl obtaining the highest points in showmanship, was won this year by Wayne Brethour, R.R. 3, Uxbridge. The members of the Port Perry 4-H Grain club also turn- ed out in strong attendance, with 12 members bringing their grain exhibits to the fair. In view of the delayed harvest conditions throughout the area, the grain club members are to be commended for their time- liness. The three top grain exhibits are being retained by the De- partment of Agriculture as po- tential entries for Markham Fair and the Royal Winter Fair. The judge for the 4-H Grain Show was Mr. Ernest Swain, Blackstock, Ontario.
