The "Head" U.C.W. started its fall term by a meeting on Wed. evening in the "Head" tea-room under the leadership of Mrs. G. Collins with a mis- sionary topic. Mrs. C. Redman read the Scripture from Revelation and Mrs. Collins took the Study-- "The Kingdom of God" from "The Word and the Way". This study explored the meaning of "Kingdom" in the early days, then as portrayed by Christ and its present meaning for us. The Roll call consisted of the reading of various amusing or wise sayings. OBITUARIES GEORGE WILLIS HUNTLEY A lifelong resident of the Whitby area, George Willis Huntley, of 710 Newman cres- cent," Whitby, died Sept. 1 at the Oshawa General Hospital. He was in his 81st year. was a son of the late Georg Albert Huntley and Elizabet Graham. He was married June 5, 1912, in Toronto. 3 A builder and carpenter, Mr. Huntley had been retired for seven years. He was an ad- Lerent of the Whitby Baptist Church and had served for 11 years as a member of the Whit- by Court of Revision, and for a number of years as chairman. Mr. Huntley is survived by his wife, the former Florence M. Stacey; five daughters, Mrs. Born at Audley, the Get P. Sandford (Verna), Mrs. D.| Wiles (Gladys), Mrs. B. Hands- '| comb (Jean) and Mrs. W. Hil- liard (Joan), all of Whitby and Mrs. F. Skinner (Erma) of Toronto and four sons, Eugene of Prince Albert, Ronald of Ux- bridge, Harold of Whitby and Earl of Ashburn. Also surviving are two sis- ters, Mrs. A. Otterbein (Mari- on) of Toronto and Mrs, H. Watson (Elizabeth) of Whitby and two brothers, Thomas of Toronto and Albert of Phoenix, Arizona; 24 grandchildren and 11-greatgrandchildren. He was predeceased by a brother, Wil- liam. The funeral service held at the W. C. Town Funeral Chapel Whitby, at 2 p.m. Sept. 3rd, followed by interment in Grove- side Cemetery. Rev. J.
