The secretary, Mrs. John Jefford presented the minutes and the treasurer, Mrs. Lloyd Short gave the financial statement. Business derived from same was dealt with. Tuesday, September 28th is the date scheduled for the tour of the Cheseborough - Ponds Factory and volunteer drivers so far are Mrs. Allan Bond; Mrs. Donald Cochrane; Mrs. William Williams; Mrs. John Jefford and Mrs. Charles Ree- sor. Further arrangements will be made at the Fall meeting. Members are asked to keep this evening programme in mind and support it. Mrs. Jack Cook and Mrs. Ralph Taylor made a motion in regard to new arangements for the remembrance of those on the sick list. Postage money was arranged for the Sick and Sunshine Convenor, Mrs. Spears. All bills were author- ized paid by a motion made by Mrs. Cochrane and Mrs, Wil- liams. A lengthy discussion was| held regarding the $5.00 annual | amount requested from each fa- | mily with boys attending either Scouts or Cubs. A letter will be sent out to the parents in the Fall and the Auxiliary will appreciate the full co-operation interested in the welfare of Scouting. It is felt that the mothers are interested only in hearing of the work their boys are doing and helping to the best of their ability the leaders donating __their valuable time and we are] looking forward to a good at- Ann tendance at the meetings in the Fall. Mrs. Jack Cook graciously of- fered her-home for the Septem- ber meeting, hostesses assiting will be Mrs. Ralph Taylor; Mrs. William Williams and Mrs. Donald Cochrane. A hearty welcome was ex- tended to the guests of honour, Cubmaster Stanley Ploughman and Mrs. Ploughman. Mr. Ploughman gave a very inter- esting talk on the Cubs week- end trip to Niagara Falls. This trip was financed by the pro- ceeds made from the selling of calendars and cleaning up the fair grounds last fall by his cub pack. It was a pleasure to hea: of the experiences and fun in which the boys participated and also to know that Mr. Plough- man received such wonderful co-operation and response to his appeal for fathers and cars to transport the pack on their trip. Past president, Mrs. Robert Walker, on behalf of the auxi- liary, thanked Mr. Ploughman for his kindness in attending the meeting and giving such an enjoyable description of the well-organized outing. Mrs. Gordon Goode, Mrs Grant McDermott and Mrs. John Jefford served a delicious luncheon and a hearty vote of thanks was exténded to Mis. Ballard for the privilege of hav- ing the meeting at her beauti- ful summer home. The meeting was closed with the Mizpal Benediction. Mrs. W. Moore of Toronto spent last week-end at their cottage, Point. ! Mr. and Mrs. W. Watt and grandchildren have returned to Toronto after vacationing at Pine Point. Mr. and Mrs. D.
