Earl treated them all to wagon and pony rides and Doris very graciously served chocolate milk and cookies to a hungry and grateful bunch of youngsters at the end of a per- fect day. Sincere sympathy is extended to the family and other rela- tives of Mrs. Elsie Beare whose sudden death occurred at her home in Port Perry on Sunday, June 13th. Also to the pela- tives of Mrs. Susie Pilkey of Brooklin who passed away in Oshawa Hospital on Tuesday, June 16th. Several from here attended the Anniversary services at Pinedale also the supper last Friday evening. Our best wishes go with Mr. and Mrs. Laird who have moved to their new home in Manilla. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Phoenix and Mrs. Evelyn Tait attended the Deerfoot Art Display under the direction of Arnold Hodg- kins, A.0.C.A. This was held on Sunday at Leaskdale and at- tracted a very large crowd, Mr. and Mrs. Rae Dusty were UTICA NEWS Communion service at Utica on Sunday, June 27 at 3.00 p.m. There will be no 11 o'clock ser vice. Mr. and Mrs. Chester Geer had the family all home for Father's Day. Mr. and Mrs. E. Hughley from Peterborough were visit- ors at Wm. Browns on Sunday. ~ Mr. and Mrs. Marcel Dumoul- in spent the week-end at Peter- borough. Mr. and Mrs. Bill LeGrow and family from Ajax visited her parents Mr. and Mrs, Walter Scott on Sunday. Faye Harper is spending a few days with a girl friend at Port - Bolster. We welcome Mr. and Mrs. Mason to the community. The euchre and dance held on Saturday was well attended-- 20 tables. Prizes went to ladies first -- Gladys Slack; second-- Dora Watson; low--Ruby Geer, Men's: First--Tom Hammond; second -- Ray Holdershaw; low --Henry McCartney. Next euchre Saturday, June 26th. Also dance and bake sale. Mr. and Mrs. Jim Mitchell visited on Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Gray of Port Perry. Visitors at Bert Micthells were Louise Haugen and Randy, Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Williams, Mr. and Mrs. Bob Thorndyke and family. George Watson was home for the week-end. Mr. and Mrs. Ron Saunders of Aurora visited with his par- ents. - Mrs. W. J. Mitchell and Mrs. J. E.
