Dunn. There were nine members present. The meeting was opened by the President Mrs. R. Thorn- dyke. Mrs. Wm. Goslin and Mrs. Larry Kendall conducted the devotional period. Mrs. Ken- dall opened the devotional with "The Call to Worship", as found in Romans chapter 12, verses 1 and 2, followed by the reading in unison of Psalm 145. Hymn 388, "Oh Master let Me Walk with Thee", was sung. Mrs, Kendall then read the evening's scripture lesson as found in the book of Philippians Chapter 2 verses 1 to 18. Mrs. Goslin gave a talk entitled "The Form of a Servant", based on the evening's scripture. Mrs. Gos- lin closed the devotional by leading the group in prayer. Mrs. R. Thorndyke chaired the business meeting, but as so many of the members were ab- sent due to "Measles" the meet- ing was quite short with most of the business items being tabled until the July meeting. At the close of the business meeting Mrs, Kendall began the first of a two part study program entitled "The Chris- tian in Church and Community". Ducks On Increase In Scugog Area A good increase in the duck population over last year in the Scugog area is predicted by Conservation Officer, Ben Smith here, based on increased numbers of blacks, mallards, pintails and some redheads seen feedjng in cornfields bordering the lake. Increased numbers of bufflehead and blue-winged teal also have been sighted along the Nonquon River. This is welcome news in view of the general decrease in blacks and mallards noted in the Lake Simcoe District in previous years' harvests.
