DODD The death occurred May 28 at her home, 531 Euclid St., Whit- by, of Margaret Jane Taylor, wife of the late Henry Edward Dodd. The deceased was in her 50th year. Born in Reach Township, Mrs. Dodd was a daughter of Robert F. Taylor and the late Margaret Taylor. She attended public & high school in Port Perry and was married in Port Perry in 1935. She had lived in Whitby for a number of years, and was a member of St. Mark's United Church. Predecased by her husband in 1960, Mrs. Dodd is survived by a daughter, Betty Joyce and her father of Port Perry. Also surviving are a sister, Mrs. H. Hill (Doris) of Greenbank and three brothers, Arthur and Gor- don Taylor of Epsom and Bruce Taylor of Uxbridge. The funeral service was held at 2 p.m. June 1, at the W. C. Town Funeral Home, Whitby. Interment was in Mount Lawn Cemetery. Rev. John Smith, minister of St. Mark's United Church, conducted the service. The Struthers and Dunlop fa- milies from Bloomfield, Ont. were Sunday visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Fraser. Church service was held at regular time last Sunday. Usu- ally the service is withdrawn for Anniversary at Enniskillen. Next Sunday is our Anniver- sary. The meeting was not so large in numbers on Wed., May 12th, Dr. Fralick, one of the faithful members was buried that day, Sympathy is extended to all his relatives. Mrs. Cullen, Vice- President occupied the chair in the absence of the President Mrs. Chapman. A welcome was extended to all. Meeting open- ed in the usual manner. Citi- zen's Prayer and O Canada was sung, Lord's Prayer repeated in unison. Enquiries were made after those who are ill. Pleased te hear Mrs. L. Duff is home, other members ill are on the mend. 'Business was discussed. Renovations are being made at the Hall to give more room, work being done by some of the niembers. Two delegates are to attend a conference at Guelph where United Citizens meet from different Clubs the end of August. Many more may also attend, to be decided later. Mrs, Hedgson kindly donated another of her lovely afghan's. Tickets will be on sale in the near fu- ture. The afghan before brcught in a nice sum to help with expenses. The meeting Senior Citizens Club closed with the Queen and a lunch was served and sociable time enjoyed. The euchre at the Hall Sat., May 15th was a huge success. 19 tables were played, and a | goodly number came from Osh- | awa & vicinities and a good time was reported.
