After the coffee break, Mrs. Dalton Dorrell gave a fine Easter Worship, The rest of the meet- ing was spent planning and practising a Panel for the Gen- eral meeting. At the service in the United Church Good Friday evening a quartette--Mrs, H. Kyte; Mrs. A. Khan; Mr, Ernest Swain and Mr. Glenn Larmer sang 'Alone', Rev. P. Romeril spoke on "If a Man Sin". Easter Sunday morning the choir sang "Crown Him with Many Crowns". Rev. Romeril's subject was "If a Man "Die". The flowers were in memory of | Mrs, Edna McLaughlin, In St. John's Church Thurs- day evening Canon Ashmore spoke on Maundy Thursday on which the First Holy Supper was held. On Friday morning the Anti Communion and Litany was held and Sunday morning The Easter Morning Prayers and Hely Communion was adminis tered. There were lovely flowers placed in memory of Wm. Tay- lor; Mr. and Mrs. Tom Smith and Mr. Jack Smith; Mrs. E. McLaughlin placed by their re- spective families, Also several Easter Lillies loaned by mem- bers of the congregation. St. John's W. A. met in the Parish Hall Thursday, April 15. For the devotion part of the meeting they attended, as a grcup, the Maundy service in the church. During the busi. ness period a quilting was plan- ned for April 27. Full report of plans for the Mother's Day supper wag given. A donation is to be sent for a gift to the retiring - Diocesan President, Mrs. Watts and Friendship Worker, Mrs, Hubbert, A film strip is booked for the next meeting. Cor, Sec'y reported Easter Cards and one baby card sent out. Meeting closed with 'members prayer. Prayer part- ner prayer and Benediction. Sorry to report Mr. Dalton English is in Port Perry hos- pital but glad to hear he is improving. Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Mar- low; Mr, and Mrs, Harry Van Camp; Mr. Earl Dorrell return- ed home from Florida during the week. Mr. Jim Byers is home from Kemptville for summer "holi- days"? Mr. and Mrs. Jim Mott, Belle- ville, spent the holiday with her parents Mr. and Mrs. John Venning. Mrs. Phena Mountjoy, Osh- awa spent a few days, and Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Mountjoy, Warkeworth were Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Swain and family, Bobby McLaughlin is spend- ing this week with Alexander Ednie, West Hill.
