On Sunday Mrs, Tweedie and 2 daughters of Greenwood visit- ed at the home of the former's brother Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Middleton, Sympathy is extended to the Redman family in the recent bereavement of Mrs. Thos. Red- man's sister, Mrs. Wm. Fry of Oshawa. Mrs, Fry came from England and had resided in Oshawa approximately 50 yrs. When garden parties were held years ago on the Redman lawn, Mrs. Iry took part in the pro- grams with lovely vocal num- bers. Her promising life was blighted from shock at tha drowning of their 16 yr. old son, when it finally resulted in her becoming a cripple. Last Thursday the Earl Rea- der family attended the funeral oi Mrs. Reader's mother in Barrie. After considerable suf- fering she was finally released in peace. Timmy and Ian Ashbridge on Monday night were on the win- nig team for the Tyke trophy whila playing hockey for Mr. McKee's team.
