Forty of the mem- bers enjoyed a happy get-to- gether and we say thanks to those with cars who so faith- fully drive our Senior Citizens to meetings and other doings. Roads haven't been too good lately, but plows, etc. make it possible for people to travel with cars and we older folks do enjoy these pleasant get-to- gethers. Our meeting was under' the leadership of our president, Mrs. Chapman. Lord's Prayer repeated in unison, singing of O'Canada and Citizen's Prayer. Everyone was extended a pleas- ant welcome from our leader. All at present on the sick list is on the way to recovery. Business was discussed, it was decided to have a Pot Luck Supper and Mr. Buckland has kindly consented to show his pictures of numerous travels These are worth seeing, so we hope for good roads, etc. Time and date for this interesting event will be Wednesday, Mar. 24th in the Citizens Hall. The meeting that day at 3:00 p.m. Supper at 6:30 p.m. Pictures to be shown that same evening (so please note time and date) every- one will be looking forward to this nice event. Obituary MRS. LILLIAN PICKARD The death of Mrs. Lillian (Law) Pickard at Fairview Lodge, Whitby on February 19, 1965, in her 87th year, = Born in Leicester, England in 1878, coming to Toronto at the age of 4 with her parents, liv- ing on Essex Ave. One of ten children, Miss Maud Law, a sister of Waubashene is the only surviving member of the family. She married 'March 22, 1911 to Mr. John Wm. Pickard at St. Mary's Magaline's Anglican Church in Toronto. They came to the 10th Concession of Réach where they farmed, moving to Seagrave and then to Utica, where Mr, John Pickard passed away January 15, 1931, In March of the same year Mrs, Pickard moved to Port Perry with the family, where she lived for 30 years. Left to mourn her passing are her children (Lillian) Mrs. Jehn F. Raines; (Violet) Mrs. H. Skerratt; Ben and Bob of Port Perry; David of Calgary; (Grace) Mrs, Jim Martin of Lakefield. Christopher pre. deased in 1941. Eighteen liv- ing Grandchildren: Aileen Ol- sen, Miriam Greene, Esther Ritter, Joane Pickard, Linda Pickard, Robin, Billy, David and April Martin, Allan Raines predeaced in October 1960. Six great grandchildren also sur- vive: Shelly, Tommy & Edward Olsen; Stephen, Bobby, Lorrie Lynn Ritter. Sadly missed by family and friends for her quiet Christian Spirit that strengthened her family and all those who were associated with her. Funeral service was conduct- ed at MeceDermott-Panabaker funeral home on Tuesday, Feb- ruary 23, with Rev. A.
