Mrs. C. Graham read the Serip- ture selection. Mrs. John Pear- ce conducted the study from "The Word and the Way". The theme was about "The Church and the World". At the con- clusion we considered the place of the church in to-day's poli- tics and social experiences. The church's place with rela- tion to the rest of the world wag fitted into Mrs. D. Ger- row's study of Trinidad with its life, customs and needs where we can help, The roll call was the familiar word association which began with "Valentine" and ended with ideas on what can be done with "money". Mrs. J. Dowson had 2 hum- ourous readings, "Mistaken Values" and a woman's version of "Men". Mrs. D. Gerrow added an- other reading -- "Let's give mom her breakfast in bed". It illustrated well meaning efforts of loving hearts and an under- standing response from an ap- preciative mother. During the business period it was decided to plan the June meeting as something special when the other U.C.W. groups of the Scugog Charge would be invited, For the afternoon of June 16 a bazaar and tea is planned when the other groups will also be invited. Therefore please keep this date open on your calendar. For the next 2 monthly meet. ings the roll call will be ans- wered with an article for the bazaar. Aprons are request. ed as they are popular.
