---OBITU GRANT MILTON GERROW Grant Milton Gerrow, a pro- minent resident of (Port Perry, for many years, died suddenly Jan. 23. He was in his 61st year. Mr. and Mrs. Gerrow were walking to spend the evening with friends when Mr. Gerrow suffered a heart attack. A son of the late Mr, and Mrs. Elizah Gerrow, the deceased was born at Uxbridge and re- ceived his education there, Prior to his retirement two years ago, he had operated a bakery busi- ness in Port Perry for 37 years. An active member of Port Perry United Church, Mr. Ger- row was an elder of the church. He was a past master of Fidel- ity Lodge, AF and AM. and was a past district secretary. He had also served on the village council for seven years. Mr. Gerrow is survived by his wife, the former Pearl Kent; and a daughter, Mrs, Douglas Farndale (Kent) of Edmonton; a brother, Mansell Gerrow of Oshawa and two sisters, Mrs. Erle Dingman (Hazel) and Mrs. Donald. Anderson (Edna), both of Port Perry. ' The funeral service was held at the McDermott - Panabaker Funeral Home at/2 p.m. Jan, 26. Interment was in Pine Grove Cemetery, Prince Albert. A masonic service was held at the funeral home Monday evening, JOHN KIEZEBRINK The death of a Port Perry district farmer, John Kieze- brink, occurred at the Oshawa General Hospital, Friday, Jan. 22nd, after a lengthy illness. He was in his 67th year. Born in the Netherlands, he was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Egbert Jan Kiezebrink. He was married to the former Catharine Van Dommelen, who predeseased him in 1951. Mr. Kiezebrink came to Canada 16 years ago and had farmed in the Port Perry area for 13 yrs. He was a member of Hebron Christian Refornied Church. The deceased is survived by three daughters: Mrs. J. Berg- ers (Tina) of Harris, Iowa; Mrs. L. Michel (Cory) of Raglan, and Ina of Toronto, also six sons, Bert, of Cannington; Henry, of Oshawa; John, of Brooklin, Her- man, of Port Perry; Ray, of Oshawa; and Harry, of Scar- borough. . VINE On January 20, 1965, at her residence at Nestleton, Ontario, Mrs. Margaret Vivi Elizabeth Irwin Vine died suddenly as the result of a stroke. Born in Toronto, a daughter of Prudence and Thomas Irwin, Mrs. Vine married Herbert Vine in December of 1923 and lived for 25 years in and around Cart- wright and Durham Townships. She was a member of the Re- organized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and also held most offices in the local Women's Institute and also First Vice-President of West Durham District, and was held in high esteem by all who knew her. - Mrs. Vine leaves 2 sons, Wil- fred of Nestleton and Charles of Whitby, One son, Ralph pre-deaceased her ,and an only daughter, Mrs. R. E. Middleton (Eleanor) of Cooksville also survives. In addition, there are 4 grandsons and 3 grand-daugh- ters. Funeral services were held from the Chapel of McDermott- Panabaker, Port Perry on Jan. 23, 1965, with Rev. William Ar- cher, Toronto, conducting. Pall- bearers were George Bowers; James Irvin; Reg. Kent; Mervin Werry; John Beacock and Ralph Sadler. Interment in Nestleton Ceme- tery. Majority Votes WHITBY-- In municipal vot- ing strength Pickering Township still leads the list in Ontario County.
