BLS Tern Annual Meeting GREENBANK NEWS Next Sunday morning, awards will 'be presented to members of the Young Worshippers' League who have earned them by reg- ular church attendance. The Annual Congregational Meeting will be held next Mon- day evghing, Jan. 18, at 8:00. This is an important meeting concerning the life of the church and a large attendance is re- quested. : Miss C. Miller and Mrs. Mul- loy of Sunderland; Mr. T. C. Miller of Moose Jaw; Mrs. Earl Wallace and: Mrs. Gordon Jef- frey.of Port Perry were Sunday visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Fleetwood Beare. The Ontario County Junior (] Ontario County Safety Council The annual meeting of the Ontario County Farm Safety Council was held in the Dept. of Agriculture Board Room,Ux- bridge, on Friday, January 8th, at 1:30 p.m. The projects, carried out in 1964,were reviewed. These pro- jects included a Farm and Home Safety Poster Competition with rural school pupils. In this com- petition, 439 posters were re- ceived, and prize money amuon- ting to $216.00 was paid out. 4-H club safety meetings were held during the month of June. A fire safety exhibit was set up at Beaverton Fair. 500 farm safety posters were distributed by the Brooklin and Uxbridge Junior Farmers' Associations. 500 safety calendars, and 2,000 ball point pens emphasizing 'fire safety', were given out to farm people in the County. 5,000 farm safety serviettes are being distributed to farm organizations in Ontario County. The Ontario County Farm Safety Council was supported from the Province of Ontario, financially in 1964 by grants the Ontario County Federation of Agriculture, the Ontario Cty. Co-op Medical Services, and a number of Townships in the County. The projects planned for 1965 will be similar to those carried out in 1964.
