Rev. Harris quoted many interesting facts and fig- ures resulting from much scien- tific research but of course it is up to the indivdual to choose whether he or she will or will not smoke. It has been proven beyond a doubt that it is much easier to start smoking than it is to stop, so why run the risk of a losing battle. This seems to be the one-and-a- quarter-million-dollar question for competing municipalities. On June 12, the committee will consider sites for the pro- posed extension, which, it al- ready has been decided, will be located somewhere in the north- ern part of the county. Chief communities vying for the valued asset are Beaverton, Sunderland, Cannington and surrounding townships. A number of people seem to feel that the most likely and central spot for its location is in or near Beaverton, but a final decision on this will not be forthcoming until sometime | Monday, i Local in summer or fall. The new structure will be a 1560-bed home, which eventually would be increased to a 350-bed capacity. Hardball At Little Britain Park on Thursday, June 4th, Little Bri- tain beat Port Perry 11 - 3.
