Anna Forder & Richard Ste- phens have already made a good name for themselves at Orono, Orillia, Granite Club, Oshawa, Erin and this week-end will be guest stars at Aurora. Then, of course, we are all looking for- ward to seeing them skate two thrilling numbers for their home club. Having skated to near capacity crowds at each of these arenas, we are in hopes of filling their home town arena to capacity. Fulford of Bramp- is going to assist us in our ton, Ontario and formerly of three rings with an excellent Port Perry area, was killed at; di-play of gymnastics, Thompson, Man. last week when a twin-engined survey plane crashed on take-off. Mr. Fulford, an aircraft en- gineer, had been based in Nor- thern Manitoba for three weeks and was to have returned to his home upon completion of the last survey. The plane was an Aero Commander of the type used for executive flights and was owned by Kenting Av- iation Ltd. of Toronto. A spoke- sman said it was the first crash Kenting has had in more than 15 years of operation. Mr. and Mrs. Fulford moved from Port Perry a few years ago' and begides his widow, there are five sons to mourn his passing. People are be- ing very co-operative, but reg- ular patrolling by police offic- ers will continue. » in it Ea THE NEEDHAM CAR Two cars and their occupants met with disaster early last Saturday evening on the Oshawa Road just south of Port Perry. The 1960 Corvair owned and driven by Mr. Clive Boyd, Port Perry met head-on with the 1958 Pontiac driven by Mr. John Needham, also of Port Perry. Injured in the accident both men are in Oshawa General Hospital with extensive injuries. Mr. Boyd's wife, Patricia suffered from shock, bruises and cracked ribs, but was released from hospital the next day. Mr. Needham was alone in his car and is in critical con- dition. Investigation of the crash is continuing.
