Com- munion Service will be on May 3rd, at 11:30 a.m. On Friday evening, April 10, at 8:00 p.m. the W.M.S. will hold their Easter meeting in the Church with the showing of Slides from India. This is an open meeting and everyone is invited to attend. Miss Frances Downing, Tor- onto spent the Easter week-end with Mr. and Mrs. Fred Daw. Mr. and Mrs. O. Bennett, of Whitby, and Mrs. Jas. Lang- staff, of Richmond Hill were recent visitors with Mrs. M. Sparks. Pleased to report Mr. Edgar Heron is progressing favourably: from his, recent operation in Oshawa General Hospital and will 'be. returning to his home this week. Mr. and Mrs. Jas. Handley, of Toronto 'visited at the home of Mrs. W. Hopkins last week. Mary Heron, Judith Batten, Joan Conibear, Jas. Daw, Ross Batten, and Roy Gaudaur at- tended the Good Friday Serv- ices for the Young People of Lindsay Presbytery held at | Wick and Cresswell. We extend our sympathy to Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Mole in the loss' of Mrs. Mole's mother, the late Mrs. F. Taber; to the sons and daughters of the late Mrs. Robert Spencer; and to Mr. and Mrs. Charles 'Appleton in the passing of Mr. R. Appleton. Ladies Bible Class The March, meeting of the Ladies Bible Class was held at the home of Mrs. Edgar Heron on Wednesday, March 11th, ut 8:15 p.m. with .the : president, Mrs. Douglas Ashton presiding. The meeting opened with the Let Me Walk With Thee". The Scripture lesson, Psalm I. was read by Mrs. Bland and prayer singing of Hymn 582 "O Master | by Mrs. Russell Batten. The minutes were read and offering taken. Reports from the various committees in con- nection with the 25th Annivers- ary were given. Hymn 483 'Iam Thine O Lord' was sung. Readings were given by Mrs. T. Knight and Mrs. J. Gray. Rev. H. Buntain gave an inspiring message on 'Raising of Lazarus". Hymn 419 was sung and the meeting closed with prayer by Rev. Buntain. Refreshments were served by Mrs. Russell Batten and Mrs. Alfred Fisher and a social half hour enjoyed. Ladies' Guild Mrs. John Hopkins was hos- tess to the Ladies' Guild meet- ing on Wednesday, March 25, at 8:15 p.m. The meeting opened with the singing of Hymn 68 "Near The Cross". The Scripture Lesson was read by Mrs. Ray Graham and Prayer by Mrs. W.-Gardner. It was decided to send a bale of used clothing to Evangel Hall in April. If anyone has Canada Packer labels on hand--would they please hand. -them in as soon as possible as we would like to get our coffee maker.
