"I hereby submit my request regarding reviewing the salar- ies of police personnel of this department for the year 1964. My reasons for this request are as follows: 1. The present staff is work- ing twelve hours per day, some- times eighteen and have to double up when the other has a day off. The same situation applies during vacation period. We are actually working seven days per week or a. total of eighty-four (84) hours. 2. The above mentioned fact- ors are definitely required in a position of responsibility such as law enforcement.
