The meeting transfered into Roads business and the Roads Superintend- ent advised Council that the three new bridges have been completed and same ave being paid for in part at this time. The question of sidewalks was brought up and Council decided to invite Mr. Bailey to submit a price for the resurfacing of the sidewalk from the corner at the cenotaph south to the south limits of the Township Hall property, in blacktop surfacing. Also Council discussed future snow removal requirements. Roads Bills were presented for approval to a tao- tal of $7,677.64 and General Accounts $845.79 for a total of $8,423.43 but Council decided payment would have to be postponed until the Reeve is out of hospital and able to sign; The em- | ployees pray for a speedy recovery. Correspondence rec'd was mostly from cottagers seeking further ser- vices or free drainage of their lots. Some wanted roads improved and others wanted roads deteriorated to stop speeding. Some wanted better police supervision but not for them- selves. Some wanted areas opened up for public bathing and others wanted same kept private and quiet. Council declared correspondence re- ceived with a night to be set aside for inspection of these complaints. Meeting adjourned to next regular meeting night of Tues., September "3rd, 1963.
