The oc- casion was to commemorate the 16th birthday of the Chapter and over 260 members and out-of-town guests at- tended. Many Chapters were welcomed among whom were guests from Dur- ham; Scarborough; Whitby; Sun- beam; West Hill; Sunland; Aloha; Queen Esther; Ontario; Markham; Richmond Hill; York and Fairbank. Distinguished guests escorted to the East were Past Grand Matron Edna Anderson, of Durham Chapter; Dist rict Deputy Grand Matron Agnes Wallace, of Markham Chapter, Dist. rict #11; Grand Trustee Jean Gow, of Fairbank Chapter and Honorary Member of Blue Ray; Past District Deputies Grace Jones; Nance Moore (Hon. The entertainment committee, under the Conductress Bernice Mairs, pre- sented a versatile program including Baton and Tap Dancing selections by Darla and Mary Lou Thomas. The vocal soloist, Diane Brown, who was the winner of three trophies from the recent Lion's Club Musical Festival | held at Sunderland, rendered two de- lightful numbers, "I Love You Be- Manchester Mrs. Dyke entertained a number of ladies last Thursday evening in honor of Mrs. Beryl Currie. Euchre was enjoyed, followed by a delicious lunch. Beryl was given a lovely gift for which she expressed her thanks.
