Philip Romeril. Mrs. Gordon Strong played the wedd- ing music; Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a traditional gown of white chantilly lace over riylon taffeta, with a scalloped?neck line trimmed with sequins and pearls and long pointed sleeves, The dipped waistline fell into a pinafore effect from which layers and white checked top. Her acces- sories were white and black with a corsage of yellow carnations, During the reception which was held at the Acres, R.R. 4, Bowmanville, two charming solos were sung by Mrs. Ja- cob Uitvlugt, Bowmanville, an aunt of the groom. When leaving for the honeymoon, the bride wore a dress and jacket of vellow brocade with a brown wool coat. Her accessories were brown and ter corsage was rust crysanthemums, An enjoyable evening was. spent with the guests who were present from Bowmanville, Dunnville, St. Ca- therines, Hamilton and local points. The couple will reside in Kirby. Minor Hockey SATURDAY MORNING of ruffels cascaded at the back. Al HOUSE LEAGUE coronet of pearls and brilliants held her shoulder length veil. She carried a cascade of red baby roses and white crysanthemums. Miss Tena Buma, sister of the | groom, attended the bride. Her street length dress was silver blue brocade with three-quarter length sleeves and a full gathered skirt. She wore a head band formed of nylon net leaves and carried a cascade of yellow cry- santhemums, The flower girls, Miss Dianne Van- derhuel, cousin of the bride and Miss Irene Buma, niece of the groom were identically gowned in rose sprigged yellow nylon and matching ruffled head bands. They carried shaded mauve crysanthemums. Mr. Peter Van Ryswyk, Bhother of the bride was best man and the ushers were Mr, Peter Vader) 5 and Mr. Gary' Ferguson. : For the reception the bride's mother chose a green wool sheath with black accessories and a corsage of pink car- nations. The groom's mother wore a suit dress with navy skirt and navy Saturday morning saw the Port Perry Hockey Club's House League get underway at 8:00 o'clock. The Bantams started it off with Scott's team downing Blackstock 4-1, then Hurst's and Young's playing to a one all draw. In the Pee Wee League it was Heard's team 2 to 1 over Foster's and Espie's downing Howsom's 1 to 0. In the Tykes it was Jackson's in their new sweaters downing Gard- ner's 2 to 1 and Doupe's shuting. out Phinney's 2 to 0. It was good to see so many of the parents out to these games Saturday, Here's hoping they will continue all year as these young stars need your support.
