McGibbon, 72, who retired from Victoria County Court last July because of ill health, died Saturday, October 21st, at his home born in Penetanguishene, graduated from Osgoode Hall in Toronto and won the Military Cross with the 21st Canadian Infantry at Amiens. Fur- ther service was held at the Chapel of McDermott-Panabaker, Port Perry on Tuesday, Oct. 17th, Interment Kendall Cemetery, Utica, (Taken from an English Paper) Mrs. Mary Leighton, aged 71, is so pleased with life in her adopted Nestleton, Ontario, that she wouldn't like to return to live in the East Riding' Needless to say, however, she is delighted to be here on a holiday visit and to experience reunions with relatives and friends. Formerly Miss Lily Fines, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles Fines of Holme-on-Spalding Moor, she flew to England at the beginning of this month, Since then, she has spent a week at Spaldington, her native vill- age, and a week with her sister, Mrs. Nellie Nutbrown, of Pryme - street, Anlaby. Before she returns to Canada at the end of Setpember, she will visit sisters at Barrow - in - Furness, Holme-on- Spalding Moor and Darlington.
