Meeting held on Tues., April 26th with eleven members in attend- ance. Mrs. Havding presented a fine de- votional period after which Mrs. Bruce conducted the business. The treasurer reported that we are only $35. short of our 1961 allocation and that there is- about $560 in the work fund. On W.M.S. Sunday, May 17, the guest speaker will be Miss Jane Scott of the Toronto Telegram. The service will commence at 10.30 a.m. and be in charge of Mrs. Bruce and Mrs. McNeill. A letter was read from Mrs. Woods announcing the spring rally at Little Britain on Tuesday, May 16. The morning session will be addressed by a speaker from the Victor Home. It was suggested that a special invita- tion be extended to all women of the Church as the Vietor Home is a church-wide project. Seagrave W.M.S. were asked to contribute to the morn- ing program. Another letter from Port Perry Hospital Auxiliary regarding the pro- posed purchase of an X-Ray Machine- was read. The ladies decided to con- tribute $10 now and consider a later donation. Murs. Tishley reported the delivery of quilts and clothing to Mrs. Golden in Lindsay.. However there are still 5 quilts on hand ready to be sent, also 10 ready for tying and 3 for quilting as well as some crib quilts partly done." The committee will purchase sufficient lining material and try to-have the work done soon. Mrs. Hurst: reviewed.
