The mothers had sup- plied candy which was enjoyed be- tween games. Then lunch brought a happy evening to a close and nearly all declared it much more fun than running around playing tricks. Cream Producers Annual Meefing The annual meeting of Ontario County Cream Producers' Association was held in the Department of Agri- culture Office, Uxbridge, on Monday, October 26th, at 8:30 p.m. Mr. William J. Wood, District Direc- or on the Cream Producers' Marketing Board, addressed the meeting. He spoke on the work that is being done by the Cream Producers' Marketing Board. He announced that the annual meeting of the Ontario Cream Pro- ducers' Association, would be held in the Royal York Hotel, Toronto, on Tuesday, November 17th at 10.00 a.m. He encouraged as many Cream Pro- ducers as possible to attend. Mr. Bob Jardine, Secretary-Manager of the Cream Producers Association, pointed out that there had been a con- siderable increase in advertising dur- ing the past year, particularly in the local press and he felt that this ad- vertising had been effective. MOST POWERFUL an COMMERCIAL JET Canadian Pacific Airlines has ordered four of these Douglas Super DC-8 jet airliners, with options for five more, at a price of $6-million each. The fleet of 169 passenger aircraft will be de- livered early in 1961. The Super DC-8 powered by the new Rolls-Royce Con- way Mark 16 engines, will have a greater capacity and longer range than the DC-8, first of the Douglas pure jet commercial airliners. It will fly more than 6600 miles non-stop. Its jet engines will develop 18,600 pounds off thrust. In announcing acquisition of the aircraft, G. W. G. McConachie, president of C.P.A., said "This is the jet aircraft-engine combination we have been waiting for to meet the long-range performance requirements of C.P.A.'s 44,000-mile Canadian trans- continental and global route pattern serving five continents." The new jet airliner will fly Vancouver-Winnipeg in"less than two hours, Winnipeg to Toronto in 96 minutes 'and will re- duce the Tokyo-Vancouver flying time to eight hours. It will fly from Van- couver to Europe in eight hours and thirty minutes. . Specifications include wing 'span 142 ft., 6 inches; length of 160 ft., 6 inches; height of 42 ft. 4 in.
