1 a -- EI {Bechool started. last a special service for child- ren and registration in the various classes, We have eleven classes this year, and we hope to have the use of te library basement to reduce the over crowding in our hall. Until definite arrangements are' made, all children 2 attend at the regular time (11.80). i At the Bunday 'School Teachers' meeting, on Sept, 8th, Mrs. Dowson and Mrs. Sonley, the president and vice-president of the group, 'under- took to make a card file and arrange the children in their new classes. This they carried out most efficiently, re- ducing confusion the first Sunday to a minimom, It was also decided to hold a Teachers' workshop, jointly with the United Church and Presby- terian Chureh, on October 16th and _1Tth--a Friday evening and Satur- day. Leaders from the Council of Christian Education in Toronto would come to help with this. It is expect- ed that teachers from the Brooklin parish will attend also. Sunday School teachers this year who were not included in the list last week are Mrs. K. Bateman, Mrs. K. Collings and Mrs, G. Porter. The Evening Guild met at the church hall on Monday, September 14. The date for the Rummage Sale was set as October 8rd. It will include a bake sale and tearoom. ' Donations for the baking table would be very much appreciated. It was decided to have the next meeting of the Guild as a shower for the bazaar. This will take place at the home of Mrs. T, Becker on September 28th, The group also decided to continue the group discussion meetings held last spring. Refreshments were served by Mrs. W. Sonley and Mrs. G. Sebben. It is with regret that we learn that Mrs, McClintock, our able organist and choir leader, plans to retire from her duties after Thanksgiving, Her years of faithful participation in our worship have been appreciated by all in the parish. . We are happy to have Mr. and Mrs. Fuller back 'with us, looking so well after their holiday in Quebec. Our Harvest Thanksgiving service will be held on. September 27th. United Church W.M.S. The September meeting of the United Church Afternoon Auxiliary was held Tuesday the 8th in Church basement. The president, Mrs. S, N.
