It is no wonder that so many women cast a baleful eye on this tattletale room, But remodelling is a major job--and and basic mistakes can be costly. Collect pictures of bathrooms you admire and make notes of the features adaptable to the size of your room as well as your family needs. This will establish your major structural changes, Consider the variety of available materials: paint, wallpaper, wall tile, flooring, plastic laminates. You will undoubtedly want real tile--that is, ceramic tile--for your walls. You can choose either a 4" or 6" wall tile. Your choice will depend on the size of your room. g Treat yourself to a built-in vanity table. This gives you extra counter space for pretty bottles and your more attractivee bath and cosmetic prepara- tions, If your budget permits, plan extra drawer space underneath the vanity for your linens and towels. And finally colour. Your ceramic tile is available in a great variety of colotirs that can blend with, or com- pliment, coloured fixtures, Unless you are particularly devoted to white, do consider both coloured tile and fix- tures, But a word of caution. Don't get involved with too many colours. In Mémoriam JACKSON -- In loving memory of our dear Mother and Grandmother, Mrs. Wm. J. Jackson, who died June 26, 1957.
