Hymn 64 "Angels from the Realms of Glory" as sung and Mary Real closed the devotional with prayer. The president took over the meet- ing. The minutes were read and ap- proved and there were 50 present. It was moved that we send our usual donation to the Fred Victor Mission and also the Victor Home. It was decided that the class members make candy again this year for the Christ- mas concert, and this is to be brought and packed at the home of Jean Rodd. Pearl Couves thanked the retiring president, Muriel Taylor for the fine job she has done this past year, The meeting closed with the mizpah bene- diction and an evening of games was planned by the groups in charge. The exchange of gifts took place and a very delicious lunch was served. On Monday evening the Brownies of the First Scugog Island Pack were enrolled, Shoes were polished and ties neatly tied. Each Brownie looked like a picture in the Brownie Book. Two Brownies met Madam Commis- sioner at the door and took her coat and s and then brought her in- to the Fairy Ring where she was greeted by Brown Owl, Tawny Owl and a whole circle of smiling faces. Tuesday evening the Guiders frog Scugog Division held a training ses- sion at Uxbridge. The leaders learn- ed many new ways to-carry out their work and were given some excellent ideas for teaching the many things which "Guides 'and Brownies learn. The training which was a three hour period included camping information and some instruction. The Division Camp Advisor Mrs. Les. Lye of Clare- mont doing the instruction.
